Plan Your Visit

Recognized as one of Canada’s prettiest little towns in Harrowsmith Country Life Magazine, New Glasgow is a small village nestled in the heart of Prince Edward Island.

Named by Scottish families that arrived in the area in 1819 and 1820 after sailing the Atlantic, it’s easy to see why these first European settlers decided to make New Glasgow their home. With its rich, rolling green hills and a winding river (the River Clyde) cutting through the valley, it was and remains a veritable paradise.

Mere minutes from the Island’s famed North Shore and the home of Anne of Green Gables, this little hamlet is bursting with culinary and artistic delights, gorgeous vistas, and plenty of flora and fauna.

Our Friends and Neighbours

Small in size, but mighty in community and entrepreneurial spirit, New Glasgow features a variety of accommodations, restaurants, shops, and attractions that visitors and Islanders alike will love. We encourage you to set aside plenty of time to enjoy all our little village has to offer at a leisurely pace. We love our neighbours and we know you will too!
