You Gotta Eat Here
If any of you are food junkies, and are addicted to watching the Food Network – you may be as excited as we are! Last spring we were approached by The Food Network about being filmed for a new show called “YOU GOTTA EAT HERE”.
During the summer of 2011, we met the crew including host John Catucci, who made filming full of fun and lots of laughs. The crew filmed for 2 days taking in all the sights and smells of the kitchen and speaking with some of our customers in the dining room. John digs deep into why we are an attraction on our own and why we are just as popular as we were back in 1958.
We shared secrets of some of our signature dishes including our delicious potato salad made with our own home-made mayonnaise. This recipe can be found on The Food Network website. In addition to this, the show has been such a success that they have decided to create a book based on the different episodes. The book will be filled with recipes from all the restaurants John has visited including ours with additional recipes that include our famous New Glasgow Lobster Suppers Dinner Rolls! Yes you heard me right – we are sharing our delicious roll recipe. The secret is out – but just remember how much practice our ovens have had… they could do it in their sleep.
So set your timers or grab your popcorn because this Friday June 22nd is the day! You Gotta Eat Here ‘s episode featuring New Glasgow Lobster Suppers will be aired on The Food Network at 3pm with an encore at 10pm. Help us spread the word – you won’t be disappointed!
