#meals4medals #freedinner for Sochi Olympic Canadian medalists

Opening day is fast approaching so I thought I would send out a reminder for all our Canadian Olympians. A couple of months ago while we were all glued to our television set watching #Sochi2014 and afraid to step outside into the #polervortex. We decided that we wanted to honor the Canadian athletes who fought their way to the podium. And how better to show a Canadian a good time then treat them to a home cooked meal and some Island hospitality?! So consider this your official invitation to come dine with us –  ON US.  Wear or show your Sochi medal  and we would be honored to share our Island hospitality while you enjoy our traditional lobster dinner with all the fixings. On Mother’s Day we had the privilege of treating  Paralympian Mark Arendz ( and his parents) to his well deserved free meal. Mark won Silver in the 7.5km standing biathlon and Bronze in the 12.5km standing biathlon in Sochi.  Thanks @MarkArendz  for being the first #meals4medals recipient and congratulations on your success, all your hard work paid off. (Thanks for letting us hold your medals too!!)  Rumor also has it that we may be visited by another  Sochi athlete this weekend – maybe he’ll let us hold his medal too? Help us show our athletes how proud we are of them, by spreading the word #meals4medals #PEI2014. Click to view our Lobster Love for Olympians post from February
