JUNE 15 is National LOBSTER day!!

If you are anything like us then you LOVE  lobster! National Lobster Day is this FRIDAY JUNE 15th – so get out and celebrate! Show off your love for lobster by enjoying a delicious meal of fresh cooked lobster. You can boil them, bake them, steam them… the possibilities are endless! We like to keep things simple, and let the lobster speak for itself. (Don’t worry we have a lobster whisperer on staff so they don’t speak to much before they go into the pot.) We pride ourselves in being one of the top lobster destinations on Prince Edward Island. We educate our staff so they can answer any lobster questions you might throw at them….. Which parts are edible? How do they fish lobster? What to they eat? How are they kept? How old is market sized (1 pound) lobster? Some may say we are the lobster experts!

During the summer season – lobster is our life and we invite you to take advantage of our Island hospitality and lobster know – how. Have you ever seen a lobster up close and personal? That’s just another reason to come visit us –  feel free to visit our salt water lobster pound on premise. We can hold upwards of 20,000 lbs of live lobster and you might just get lucky and see what we call a JUMBO lobster… or what I like to call them Grandfather lobsters. Last summer we were lucky enough to have a 17 lb lobster call our lobster tanks home.

Lobsters have a long history on PEI ( we’ve been serving them for 54 years!) The lobster was not always coveted as a delicacy. In fact, years ago, it was considered the poor man’s food and many children who were forced to take it to school for lunch were often teased.       ( They didn’t know what they were missing!)Now, many people would love to eat the succulent taste of lobster everyday! And we can help you with that – we’re open 7 days a week from until the middle of October. That’s over 100 days that you could be eating lobster with us.

National Lobster Day is the perfect opportunity to kick off summer with a feast with your fellow lobster lovers! So come on over – relax, enjoy a cold Beach Chair Lager, a spectacular view of the River Clyde and let us serve up a fabulous meal of delicious lobster.
