The Community of New Glasgow has Christmas Spirit

holiday spiritNew Glasgow may be a bit quieter this time of year but our village is still a charming place to visit. It’s a photographer’s winter wonderland  and a walk through the village will lift your spirits as you raise your hand to wave to many a friend as they drive by. Just this past weekend we kicked off the holiday season with The Community of New Glasgow’s Annual Candle light walk and Tree lighting. It could not have been a more perfect night. A fresh dusting of snow, made our candles shine brighter and our voices sing clearer. We walked through the Gardens of Hope, singing songs of Christmas joy. The smell of  wood fires drifting through the air and the twinkling lights made the evening feel like we were in a fairy tale. It’s not everyday where family and friends can join together and enjoy such a wonderful community event, it really makes you  feel very lucky to be part of such a  community. Gathering together to celebrate the real meaning of  Christmas –  a time for giving love and thanks to those you care about, or those who need a little bit more  love in their lives. So here I am passing our Christmas Spirit onto you – may the spirit of the holidays  bring  joy and happiness to you and yours. Happy Holidays!

It was a magical evening – something especially the children will remember for a lifetime. Special thanks to all the community leaders that make events like this happen all year long. Merry Christmas and Season’s Greetings!
