#meals4medals #freedinner for Sochi Olympic Canadian medalists

Opening day is fast approaching so I thought I would send out a reminder for all our Canadian Olympians. A couple of months ago while we were all glued to our television set watching #Sochi2014 and afraid to step outside into the #polervortex. We decided that we wanted to honor the Canadian athletes who fought their way to the podium. And how better to show a Canadian a good time then treat them to a home cooked meal and some Island hospitality?! So consider this your official invitation to come dine with us –  ON US.  Wear or show...

Come to The Island, Stay for the party! #PEI2014

You may have heard but in case you’ve been living under a rock, 2014 on Prince Edward Island is going to be awesome! This year marks the 150th anniversary of the Charlottetown Conference where our Nations Founding Fathers decided to form this glorious Country. Why wouldn’t you want to come take advantage? Honestly you’d be crazy not to....

There are so many things that make me  proud to be a Canadian and watching our athletes own the podium is just one of them.  But...

The Community of New Glasgow has Christmas Spirit

New Glasgow may be a bit quieter this time of year but our village is still a charming place to visit. It’s a photographer’s winter wonderland  and a walk through the village will lift your spirits as you raise your hand to wave to many a friend as they drive by. Just this past weekend we kicked off the holiday season with The Community of New Glasgow’s Annual Candle light walk and Tree lighting. It could not have been a more perfect night. A fresh dusting of snow, made our candles shine brighter and our voices sing...

Christmas shopping list

Unless you are one of those shoppers from legend (you know the ones who have their shopping done by July) you  probably have just recently sat down and made a list of who you are shopping for. One way our family has cut down on spending is to draw names.  We decide on a maximum amount of money to spend and we’re off. My next challenge is getting the most bang for my buck. And if your family is anything like mine… they already have too much stuff...
